Join us and Become a NGY Teacher Trainer!
In 2002, I led the first NGY Teacher Training, by request, to students who wanted to learn from her about how to share yoga with children ages 2-7. We had over 20 people in that training from all over the United States as well as one from Venezuela and one from Singapore! I remember my feelings of awe and inspiration from this first training and knew I was on to something incredible, so I continued on.
Over the past 11 years I have travelled across the states and internationally to share NGY Teacher Trainings. I have been hosted by gracious Yogis, taught eager and grateful teachers and touched many children and families. Almost 1000 people have travelled around the globe to attend a NGY Teacher Training. I am continually amazed by the way NGY methods and teachings have found its way in to homes, hearts, schools and studios around the world.
I have thoroughly loved delivering these trainings for the mutual gifts we shared and I now desire to expand in a new way, which is why I am launching an NGTTrain-the-Trainer Program – where graduates, like you, can become a qualified NGY Teacher Trainers and lead this amazing course!
Can you imagine yourself sharing, teaching, leading Yogis on their path to becoming kids yoga teachers? I can, and that is why I am offering this to you!

Q: Can I lead a different Teacher Training of my own after I have become a NGY Teacher Trainer?
A: NGY Teacher Trainers are free to teach other kids yoga Teacher Trainings 12 months after their licensing fee expires.
Q: What happens if after I go through the NGY Train the Trainer program and I decide that I do not want to lead NGY Teacher Trainings?
A: Should you choose not to lead NGY TT's, and build your business in a different way, you will be invited to take 3 modules with Jodi at the Yoga School of Business (www.YogaSchoolOfBusiness.com) to help you grow your business in your desired direction.
Q: Who sets the tuition for the NGY Teacher Training?
A: NGY Teacher Trainings led by trainers other than Jodi are on a sliding scale of $395 - $595 (plus a $50 registration fee that goes to NGY). The cost of tuition is to be determined by the trainer based on demographics and competitive pricing for the host community. NGY will educate and support the trainer as to how to best choose the pricing, set early bird registration dates, etc.
Q: What if the studio host requests a different split or arrangement than is standard on the NGY contract?
A: The terms that are included on the contract are recommended to be adhered to. The trainer has the freedom to negotiate the split terms with the studio host. NGY/Jodi will be there to support & help.
Q: Are NGY Teacher Trainers considered independent contractors?
A: Yes, and they will receive a 1099 at the end of the year.
Q: Do studios ever request a deposit? If so, would NGY cover this up front?
A: Typically with a split agreement, the studio host does not receive a deposit. Only when NGY is renting the studio space is a deposit required. If this is the case, then NGY would cover the cost of the deposit.
Q: What if there is low attendance, can a NGY Trainer choose to cancel the training?
A: Cancellations are determined on a case-by-case basis. It is encouraged that the Trainer does not cancel any trainings due to insufficient registration and that all set trainings run so to honor all registrations with students. If the NGY Trainer is sick or has an emergency, it is the Trainer’s responsibility to reschedule with the studio host within 2-weeks. If a pre-registered student cannot attend the new dates, the student will receive a refund. In this case, the NGY Trainer will then bare all expenses of this refund, including the $50 registration fee.
Q: Are there opportunities for NGY Trainers to travel with the Teacher Training?
A: YES! All terms will stay the same and travel monies will come off the gross income.
Q: Who is responsible for securing a location for NGY Teacher Trainings?
A: NGY will certainly feed Trainers studios that are interested in hosting a NGY Teacher Training. Trainers are encouraged to seek out host studios. NGY will educate and support you in how to choose host studios that are a good fit for the NGY Teacher Training.
Q: How many hours is the NGY Teacher Training?
A: 24 hours. The schedule is recommended to be led on Friday - Sunday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
The time is now ~ registration is closing soon!
